INQAAHE 30th Anniversary celebratory event

 

30 Years of Spreading the Culture of Quality Globally:
Celebrating 30 Years of Remarkable Global Achievement

Within the frames of INQAAHE’s 30th anniversary celebration and to officially launch the INQAAHE International Headquarters in Barcelona, INQAAHE is inviting you to a hybrid (both in-person and virtual) event that will be held in Barcelona (Spain) from 7th-8th October 2021. The event is proudly hosted by AQU Catalunya and the University of Barcelona with all the required and necessary measures taken for safety and security of the participants, as per Catalan and Spanish government regulations.

The two-day event, entitled 30 Years of Spreading the Culture of Quality Globally: Celebrating 30 Years of Remarkable Global Achievement, welcomes INQAAHE members, regional quality assurance networks, higher education institutions, quality assurance bodies and INQAAHE strategic partners. The event opens up opportunities for bringing diversity of systems and QA cultures together at the INQAAHE General Assembly, Regional Networks Meeting with participation of UNESCO, trainings on the key aspects of successful QA system operations, and celebratory events, culminating in a major Gala Dinner.

 

Aim

The aim of this event is:

  • To officially inaugurate the INQAAHE International Headquarters in Barcelona in celebration of the 30th anniversary;
  • To convene a General Assembly Meeting;
  • To conduct a Regional Networks Meeting to bridge diversity of regions and cultures through a global enhancement platform;
  • To conduct the INQAAHE Board meeting with the official handover to the new Board and President;
  • To build on capacity of the INQAAHE stakeholders in terms of external and internal quality assurance;
  • To create a vision for the next 30 years of INQAAHE.

 

Workshops

  1. Making Connections between the Institutional Evaluation and the Sustainable Development Goals

Workshop on Internal Quality Assurance facilitated by ACPUA (Spain) and AQUA (Andorra).

  1. Measuring and Teaching Generic Skills to Improve Student Learning Outcomes

Workshop on evaluation of new delivery models of teaching (assessment of learning outcomes), facilitated by Doris Zahner (United States) and Susanna Karakhanyan (United Arab Emirates).

  1. Techniques of External Review on Online Visits

Workshop on External Quality Assurance, facilitated by Martí Casadesús (Spain), Mary Catharine Lennon (Canada) and Erika Soboleva (Russia).

Capacity restrictions and expected participants

Given the current capacity restrictions due to COVID-19, up to 60 in-person participants from INQAAHE members, Regional Networks, HE Institutions, QA bodies, INQAAHE strategic partners are expected.

 

Fees

200 USD for INQAAHE members 
300 USD for non-INQAAHE members

These fees apply regardless of the delivery mode of the event.

These fees include access to the three workshops as well as the Gala Dinner.

Once your registration to this event is received, INQAAHE Secretariat will contact you to guide you through the payment process. Bank transfers and card payments are accepted. Please note that your registration will only be confirmed and considered final once payment is successfully received.

 

Cancellation policy

If you wish to cancel your booking for the event once you are fully registered for it (the fee is already paid), please note the following standard cancellation conditions apply: 
       • Four weeks or more prior to the start of the event - 100% refund of workshop fees 
       • Between three and one week prior to the start of the event - 50% refund of workshop fees 
       • Up to one week prior to the event - no refund 

Cancellation by INQAAHE: INQAAHE's aim is that the event goes ahead and is delivered in-person. The Network will only cancel under exceptional circumstances, but reserves the right to modify or cancel the event at any time. If INQAAHE cancels the event, all confirmed participants will be informed and offered a full refund of the workshop fees. Please note that INQAAHE is unable to reimburse any accommodation or travel arrangements participants may have arranged in relation to the event.
