During INQAAHE's celebration in Barcelona, INQAAHE's General Assembly met and was presented with the new Board composition, INQAAHE's International Standards of Quality Assurance in Higher Education and the two proposals from Kazakhstan to host INQAAHE Conference 2023. There was also a speech on the 30th anniversary of INQAAHE by Susanna Karakhanyan, its President, and a visit to the Network's headquarters in Barcelona.

From October 11 to October 18, 2021, an online voting system was set up and the General Assembly was invited to vote on the following topics:

  1. Do you approve Deb Adair as the new INQAAHE President (as proposed by the Board); and
  2. Which member agency should host INQAAHE Conference 2023 in Kazakhstan:

The election was closed on October 18, 2021 at 23:59 CEST (UTC+2) with 29.91% participation rate.

INQAAHE's General Assembly has approved Deb Adair's candidacy as new INQAAHE President and has also chosen the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) to host INQAAHE Conference 2023. More details are available in the following two documents:
