SUMMARY:The Engagement of Stakeholders such as Students, Employers, Support Staff and Other Categories Contributing to Relevant and Effective QA (Equity and Access)
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nMay 25, 2026 (Monday)11:00 – 12:30 CEST (UTC+2)Online (Zoom)\n \n\n REGISTER NOW \n\n \nQuality assurance frameworks consistently identify students, employers, support staff and other contributors as key stakeholders, yet meaningful engagement remains elusive in practice. This INQAAHE Talks session examines the gap between policy intent and lived reality, exploring what genuine stakeholder participation looks like across diverse national and institutional contexts, and how equity and access considerations must shape the design of QA processes themselves. Drawing on perspectives from national QA regulation, international rankings and stakeholder data, and global QA practice, the session aims to surface practical insights for QA agencies and institutions working to make stakeholder engagement both relevant and effective. \n\n\n\n\n\nWe will hear from:\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMr. Nasir Shah\n\n\n\nSenior leader at the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan with over 24 years of service, widely recognized for his transformative contributions to the sector. His career has been dedicated to architecting and implementing systemic reforms that have significantly elevated the quality, governance, and global standing of Pakistani universities.\n \n \n\n\n\n\n\nMr. Rami Awad\n\n\n\nRami has been with QS Quacquarelli Symonds since 2021, managing QS activities across Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. As the principal contact for universities and government ministries in the region, Rami provides market intelligence and actionable insights that help institutions improve teaching quality, academic performance, and institutional reputation and visibility.Rami serves as a QS ambassador, supporting performance enhancement and strategic alignment. He frequently conducts workshops and roundtables to present QS’s ranking methodologies and labour market insights, empowering stakeholders to leverage global benchmarking for informed strategy and policymaking.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe session will be chaired by:\n\n\n\n\n\nDr. Fawad Sadiq\n\n\n\nINQAAHE Board Director and Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell of Riphah International University (Pakistan).\n\n\n\n \n
