Capacity building

Quality agencies encourage their institutions to be committed to continuous improvement. Quality agencies themselves must therefore be equally dedicated to self-improvement. New agencies are greatly in need of development and capacity-building. Even established agencies should be asking themselves how they can do things better, they are often requested by their government to do new things.

in this section INQAAHE offers its members various suggestions to improve their development.


 

Guidelines of Good Practice

The professional practices that INQAAHE believes should be embedded in all quality agencies are set out in the Guidelines of Good Practice in Quality Assurance (commonly referred to as GGP).

Development Fund

The development fund's objective is to support members from economically less well developed countries and hence priority will be given to members from countries listed by the OECD as less developed (LDC) or low income countries (LIC).

GIQAC

Since 2005, the World Bank has been providing grants to assist QA agencies in higher education, and doing this through various regional networks of QA agencies.

Good practice in quality review requires independent administration of the review, including such aspects as identification of panel members, preparation of the site visit program and selection of interviewees.
