Forum 2010
The Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA) is pleased to invite the members of INQAAHE to the biennal forum which will be held in Windhoek, Namibia.
The 2010 Members' Forum will be held on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 May.
The forum theme will be "The responsiveness of External Quality Assurance Agencies".
On Tuesday 4th May two pre-forum workshops will be organised.
The Forum and Pre-Forum workshops are open to INQAAHE members and members of the following recognised associated networks: AfriQAN,ANQAHE,APQN,AQAN,CANQATE,CEEN,EAQAN,ENAEE,ENQA,
ECA and RIACES. Members of African QA agencies, whether they belong to AfriQAN, other emerging African regional networks or no network are also welcome.
Financial Support to attend the forum
In cooperation with UNESCO and the World Bank (through the GIQAC project), the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) is providing funds for QA representatives from developing countries to attend the 11th Biennial INQAAHE forum. Open Educational Resources (OER) Capacity-building workshop
On Monday, May 3rd, the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and UNESCO are organising a Capacity-building workshop in Windhoek. The intent of the workshop is to receive feedback from QA experts on the quality assurance issues surrounding the use of OERs in main-stream higher education in developing countries.
This workshop is one in a series organised within a UNESCO-COL initiative: Taking OERs beyond the OER community: Policy and Capacity.
The project's aim is to expand understanding of OERs by educational decision makers in Africa, Asia and the Pacific in order to promote their wider use.
